As awesome as that is, it’s okay to admit that running your own business isn’t all rainbows and sunshine 24/7. Most of us are making things up as we go which can be terrifying. We all want to succeed but sometimes we let the fear that we don’t know what we’re doing hold us back from reaching our full potential.
Because we’re making things up as we go, it can sometimes feel like there just aren’t the right resources and advice out there to give us the tools or encouragement we need. Sure we can stumble across a few great blog posts we find on Pinterest. But nothing beats face-to-face interaction with people who understand exactly what we’re going through.
Entrepreneurship can feel like a lonely road. We go through things that people with a secure 9-5 job just don’t understand. We have ups and downs that are confusing as heck, and some days we just want to throw in out towel and go work with our friend Lucy at the bank. We try to talk to our family and friends about some of the struggles we’re facing, but they just don’t get it. It’s because of all this that I decided to create a space where us hardworking Winnipeg business owners can come together. It’s time to lift each other up and offer our understanding, support, and expertise.

Why I created hustle & Charm
Over a year ago I launched Strategic Charm Boutique. Ever since I was a kid my main career goal was to run my own business. The type of business I wanted to run always changed, but in early University I decided I wanted to do something related to marketing and public relations.
As the marketing connoisseur & copywriter behind this business, I help other entrepreneurs build their online presence. Although I thoroughly enjoy what I do and plan on doing it for many years to come, I can’t ignore the fact that another true passion of mine is female entrepreneurship. Running my own business is empowering, and I whole-heartedly want other women with similar dreams to be able to feel that power. We all have it. Sometimes we just need a bit of a push to let it flourish. With a lot of hustle and a sprinkle of charm, we can do anything!

How do I become a member?
To become a member of the Hustle & Charm community, select the “Subscribe” button for a monthly membership, or the “Buy Now” button below to purchase a 12-month membership. Must be a female Manitoba resident.
What if I don’t want to do automatic payments?
Automatic payments are required for the monthly membership option. To avoid having automatic monthly payments, you can choose the one-year membership option, and another payment won’t be required for another 12 months.
How do I cancel my membership?
To cancel your monthly membership, cancel automatic payments through PayPal, and send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org informing that you no longer wish to partake in the community. One-year memberships will have already been paid for 12 months. If you have a one-year membership and wish to leave the community before the year is up, you may do so by sending an email to the address listed above, but please be aware that a refund will not be available, and that you will be forfeiting the remaining months of your membership.
When are the events?
The official monthly meet-up typically takes place on a weekday evening after 5:00 p.m. The day of the meet-up will vary month to month to ensure all members have an opportunity to attend at one time or another. Online training events and Coffee & Content sessions will vary.
Where do the events take place?
The monthly meet-ups and Coffee & Content sessions often happen in the downtown, Osborne Village, or Exchange District areas, but specific locations will vary. Online trainings will happen live within the private Facebook group.
Can I still attend events without becoming a member?
Hustle & Charm mixers happen once every three months and are open to both members and non-members. The official monthly meet-ups, online training sessions, and Coffee & Content sessions are for members only.
What happens if I can’t attend a member event?
If you can’t attend the official monthly meet-up, there will still be an opportunity to attend an online training or a Coffee & Content session. If any handouts or important information was distributed at the monthly meet-up, that information will be provided to you in the private Facebook group. If you miss all three opportunities, you always have the option of reaching out to other members to meet for coffee, dinner, etc. We’re a community of entrepreneurs providing support to one another, but we’re also a group of friends.
