5 Entrepreneur Podcasts to Listen to & Love
Podcasts have been popular for a while now, but it wasn’t until last year that I started listening to them. In the early stages of my business I was using as many resources as possible to help me figure out my direction and to simply get things going. Of course, there will never be a point in your business where you can’t benefit from learning how to better yourself and your business, so a year and a half into Strategic Charm Boutique and you can bet your booty I still listen to podcasts on a regular basis.
Here’s a list of podcasts I currently listen to or plan to listen to in upcoming weeks, which are geared towards entrepreneurs.
All Up in Your Lady Business
Jessica Stansberry and Jaclyn Mellone are the lady boss hosts of this super fun podcast. I mean, the name alone screams fun! All Up in Your Lady Business is the first podcast I’ve ever listened to, and I’m sure glad I did. Both of these ladies are great to listen to, but Jessica’s southern accent definitely kicks things up a notch. They’ve interviewed a ton of incredible female entrepreneurs – all of whom has given listeners great advice about running their own full-time business or side hustle.
If you watch my Instagram stories on a regular basis, then you already know I currently listen to the Being Boss podcast almost everyday. And I listen to multiple episodes at a time. I’m talking, like…four or five episodes a day! This podcast is run by the hilarious duo, Emily Thompson and Kathleen Shannon! I first heard about this podcast a couple of years ago when it first came to life, but it wasn’t until about two months that I finally dived in and I’ve enjoyed it ever since. Being Boss interviews men and women entrepreneurs who are killing it in their industry. I’m talking big name creatives and business gurus like Brené Brown and David Heinemeier (founder of Basecamp). Every single episode I either learn something new, or my currently ideas and process are reinforced which makes me feel extra boss-like. Oh, and did I mention there’s a free kick-ass Facebook group associated with this podcast?!
A couple of months ago I was fortunate enough to be a guest on a podcast for the first time. And the best part? It was a podcast hosted right here in Winnipeg! Candid Conversations is run by Sagan Morrow and Dan Nicholson. Through their podcast these fellow Winnipeggers focus on the adventures of small business, community, and life in the communications industry. Sagan and I had been Instagram friends for several months prior to my interview, so you can imagine how excited I was to finally meet her in person. Talking to these too was super fun, casual, and entertaining. Candid Conversations is currently on season, and I’m looking forward to seeing what else they have in store.
Jenna Kutcher is a photographer and Instagram guru that I’ve been following for over a year! I’ve always been in love with her work so you can imagine my excitement when I heard she was launching a podcast! I have this weird thing where I can only listen to one podcast at a time. Once I’m all caught up on one, I move onto the next or go back the one I was listening to previously. If I listen to different podcasts at once, I always get lost on which episodes I left off on. Once I’m all caught up on Being Boss, you can bet your booty the Goal Digger podcast is next on my list!
Like Jenna, Rosemary Watson is a photographer and fellow Instagram guru. I’ve been following her since before I launched my business, and she teaches me something new every time I see her social media posts or catch her on Instagram live. A few weeks ago I saw that she had a podcast coming down (up?) the pipeline and I immediately started freaking out! Unfortunately, I can’t remember the post where I saw this information so I can’t give you guys too much info about it. I love her so so much and I just couldn’t leave her out of the roundup. Whatever her podcasts out to be, I guarantee its going to be amazing!
As you can see, I have a TON of podcast episodes to catch up on already, but that doesn’t mean I can’t add any more to the queue. If listen to any amazing podcasts that are geared towards creatives and entrepreneurs, drop your suggestions in the comments below!
