5 Daily Content Ideas for Twitter

Instagram is definitely my core platform, but that doesn’t mean I’m not active in other social media spaces.

Some may disagree, but one of the things I like about Twitter is that I don’t have to worry about putting so much emphasis on having my captions flow together. I can pop in different times throughout the day and talk about a completely different topic each time. Twitter feeds flow quickly so when users are scrolling, they’re often looking for snippets of information; not a long stream of Tweets that make up one story. Of course, you will have some followers who look at your Twitter feed as a whole but even then, they’re not expecting to see 20 tweets about the exact same topic. Have fun with Twitter and don’t be afraid to switch up your content.

Every source has different analytics but if you’re using Twitter for business, on average you should be tweeting 10-12 times per day. If you’re like me and you’re just getting in the habit of tweeting consistently every day, start small and aim to tweet 3-5 times per day, and work your way up from there.

Another great thing about Twitter is that you can post the same type of content everyday without annoying your audience. For example, on my Twitter feed I post a new quote image every single day. Like I mentioned earlier, Twitter feeds move so quickly so just because I’m posting a quote image everyday, doesn’t mean all of my followers are seeing it each day. And even if they do, I switch up the quote so it’s really not as repetitive as you might think.

If you’re stuck on what type of content you can share on Twitter everyday, I’ve listed five different ideas below!

Whether you’re sharing quote images or quotes in your captions, this type of content goes over fairly well on Twitter. No matter who your target audience is, motivational or humorous quotes are relatable to almost everyone. Plus, they’re a great content choice if you’re looking for people to re-tweet your posts! If you are using quote images, be sure to include the name of your business or your website to help increase brand awareness.

If you’re running a business, you’re positioning yourself as an expert in a particular field or industry. Hop on Twitter each day and share a tip or a series of tips your audience will find useful.

 Blog Post Links

If you have a blog on your website, feel free to share a link to one of your blog posts daily!  What I do is go back to one of my first blog posts (I have about 40 or so) and schedule a link to one blog post a day, skipping the ones that are too outdated or irrelevant. Once I’ve scheduled my latest blog post, I just start over again.

Links to Industry Articles

Linking to your own content is great, but you can also link to other blog posts and articles written by others in your industry or areas of interest. I have a few blogs I absolutely love, so I’m putting more of an effort to put links to their latest posts in my content calendar so I can schedule them for Twitter.

When I have one-on-one Instagram strategy sessions with clients, I always stress the importance of not promoting their products and services every single day. But with Twitter, why not post a link your latest offer each day? Like I mentioned a few times already, tweets go by really fast so just because you’re posting a promotional tweet every day, or even twice a day, doesn’t mean all of your followers are seeing both tweets. This is the platform where you can promote yourself everyday without being super annoying. As long as you’re breaking up those promotional tweets with other content, you’re golden!

So there you have it, folks – five different content ideas you can share on Twitter every single day! And if you’re ambitious and are aiming to hit the 10-12 tweets per day mark, feel free to duplicate some of the above content ideas daily. I.e. two different quotes per day, five tips per day, etc.
