5 Ways to Show Love to Your Clients
February is the month of love. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, why not use it as an opportunity to show love to your clients?
As business owners we rely on having clients because of course, without them we have no business. Not to mention, having clients means we’re able to pay our bills while doing something we’re truly passionate about whether it be creating super fun workshops, designing beautiful websites, or writing engaging social media content.
Your clients are the backbone of your business, and if you’re lucky enough to have a client base filled with people you have a great connection with and who you love providing services for, then bonus! It can be easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of running your business, but taking the time to show your clients just how much you appreciate them is important. It strengthens your relationships, helps you stand out from the crowd of people who offer services similar to yours, and leaves a lasting impression that your clients will happily boast about to others in their industry who just might be in need of your services too!

You know what’s an underrated gesture these days? Mailing out handwritten notes! People love getting fun mail, especially since mailboxes are often just filled with bills and coupons. Take the time to write a note to each of your clients, thanking them for choosing you and continuing to value your work. Let them know how much you believe in their goals or their business, and that you look forward to continuing to work with them this year!
Social Media Shout Out
This one’s really quick and easy to do. If your clients are following you on social media, create a post just for them! Thank them for working with you and let them know how much you appreciate their business. If you have a lot of clients, create one post and tag everyone you’ve been working with. If you have five clients or less, create a post for each individual and give them a personalized shout out.
Blog Post Highlight
People love it when others take the time to acknowledge and promote their business. If you’re working with one or two major clients, why not write a special blog post about each one of their businesses? Write about their product or services, include links to their website and social media channels, and throw in a blurb about what kind of work you’re providing for them! Spread the word and link the post to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest.
Send a Gift
Now who doesn’t love gifts? There are so many great gift ideas out there for entrepreneurs, so why not pick out a few and send them to your clients? If your clients are in the same city as you, setup a coffee date and present their gift in person. If they’re not in the same city as you, try and pick out gifts that are easy and affordable to ship. Some great ideas would be notebooks, a package of nice pens, gift cards, stock photo subscriptions, anything!
Discount or Freebie
If your clients have been with you for a while, chances are they love your work! Try offering a discount or a freebie of one of your services! If you’re a business owner who offers multiple services, this is a great opportunity to remind your clients that you have other skills that could be useful to their goals or business.
