Launch Day

Hello! And welcome to the blog section of the boutique. With this blog I plan on sharing a few life stories so you can get to know the woman behind the business, and plenty of tips and tricks to help you market your blog or business like a boss!

Today is the official launch of Strategic Charm, and I’m happy you’re here! How many of you are girl bosses, or girl bosses in the making? When did you decide to take the plunge into entrepreneurship?

I’ve wanted to start my own business since I was a little one, and I’m so excited that my dream has finally come true. Yes I could’ve waited to launch next year. Or when I have more experience. Or when I have more contacts. We can always think of excuses to hold ourselves back from doing what we really love. I mean, making big moves is terrifying; who knows what can happen. But if we keep waiting until we’re “ready” to write that book, or start that blog, or move to a tropical Island (sorry…I was in Mexico recently and I’m still thinking about it), we might never get the chance.

I honestly believe you just have to make the decision to dive and see what happens. Now that’s not to say you shouldn’t prepare yourself. Although I’ve been thinking of starting this business for years, I just decided to jump in a few months ago. There are million things that need to be done in order to launch a business, and I’ll be honest…I didn’t do half of them. What I did do was narrow down the things that were most important, and make a schedule for myself so I can stay on task. I can sit here and think about all the other things I could’ve done to make this launch bigger, and better, but I’m not going to do that, and neither should you when it comes to your business or passion project. There’s always more you can do. There’s always an extra mile you can take. But it’s important to set realistic goals for yourself so you don’t set yourself up for what feels like failure. You don’t need to live up to anyone’s expectations but your own.

So let’s chat! What’s something big or challenging you want to do, but don’t feel ready for?
